As August comes to a close, I can’t help but pause and reflect on the beautiful moments this month has brought. One of the highlights was stepping onto the stage at The Delancey for my show Still Over the Rainbow.
What made the night so special wasn’t just the music... it was the energy in the room. Every note felt like a conversation between me and the audience. There was laughter, swaying shoulders, and one audience member even mentioned something about teary eyes afterwards (the good kind!) as the songs carried us all to different places of memory and hope.
One of my favorite moments of the night was performing Nat King Cole’s “Nature Boy.” It’s such a timeless piece- poetic, haunting, and full of truth. Sharing my interpretation of it in that intimate setting felt like giving a piece of myself away, and the response was overwhelming. What’s Next?
This performance was more than a show- it was a reminder of why I do what I do... As I look toward the next month, I’m carrying that same energy into everything ahead: more music, more storytelling, and more moments of connection.
