FYV Introduces Bold New Summer Format: Music on the Go (Summer 2026)

Queens, NY — This summer, the FYV Summer Music Program is transforming into something entirely new, immersive, and exciting. Introducing FYV: Music on the Go (Summer 2026) — a boutique, four-week mobile music experience where young artists ages 7–17 will explore music through daily journeys across inspiring locations throughout New York.

Running July 6–30 and August 3-27 (Mondays–Thursdays, 9AM–3PM), this year’s program moves beyond the traditional classroom. Students will travel by sprinter van to a new destination each day—parks, waterfronts, cultural spaces, art districts, even studios; where the world becomes their stage and their classroom.

Participants will receive hands-on instruction in voice, piano, guitar, and an introduction to music production, dive into songwriting, develop performance skills, and experience music through movement, culture, and curiosity. The program also includes culturally themed lunches, journaling, breakout sessions, and a strong teamwork component that builds confidence and creativity.

The month concludes with an outdoor recital and the premiere of a professionally produced group music video, filmed throughout the journey.

“This isn’t just a camp—it’s a journey. A chance for young artists to discover their sound, explore their courage, and experience music in a whole new way,” says program founder Petula Beckles. “We’re excited to bring this premium and innovative experience to the families of Queens and beyond.”

With enrollment capped at 12 students, FYV: Music on the Go offers an intimate, high-impact experience designed to inspire creativity, leadership, and confidence.

Registration opens soon. Limited seats available.
